Kraft paper is on trend
Kraft is a name that comes from Germany and means resistance or strength. It is a type of paper that is made from wood pulp, which is why it has those brown tones, and its texture is rougher than normal paper.
Kraft paper is also known as brown paper. This type of paper undergoes a chemical process (also called Kraft), in which the lignin is extracted from the wood fibers. The pulp obtained from this process is darker than that of other wood pulps, although it can be whitened later.
Types of Kraft paperThere is a wide variety of Kraft papers, but they have in common their flexibility and resistance.
They are usually used as packaging for products or as padding to protect the contents of boxes. Colored Kraft paper is widely used for gift wrapping. Also, for food products because they protect from moisture and are quite resistant to oil.
In the field of design and advertising, brown paper or Kraft paper is widely used both to print corporate identity elements and for cases or boxes of different types of products.

Advantages of Kraft paper
IT IS STRONGER THAN OTHER PAPERSDue to the reduced amount of lignin that Kraft paper has, it is a stronger and more resistant paper than other papers. This makes it very suitable for transporting a variety of products as it protects them from scratches or bumps.
HOLDS DIFFERENT TEMPERATURES WELLDue to its resistance to temperature changes, it is used to wrap food products suchas loaves of bread, pasta, or popcorn. It is also used to protect other products from moisture, such as building materials like cement, chemicals, animal feed, or garden supplies such as soil or fertilizer. ECOLOGICAL, RECYCLABLE AND BIODEGRADABLEFor the manufacture of Kraft paper or brown paper, residues of different types of wood are used, for example, pine, bamboo, or coconut fiber. The wood to make this type of paper comes from sustainably managed forests. It is a paper that can be recycled and later given new uses and it decomposes quickly, without leaving toxic residues. Why is Kraft paper on trend? For a few years, Kraft paper has gone from being a paper for wrapping unimportant objects to being the favorite of many brands. Part of this success is due to the growing ecological awareness on the part of society in general. Brands are more concerned with producing more ecological and recyclable packaging, using less plastic and more paper and thus pleasing the consumer. And it is not only that its origin and its manufacturing process is less polluting, but also that its visual appearance reaffirms it. Thus, we are seeing more and more clothing or food brands whose bags, boxes or cases are made of Kraft paper. And it is not only used for packaging, but also for business cards, notebooks, diaries, envelopes, labels, wedding invitations and even placemats. It has also become fashionable in the wine, beer, spirits and/or olive oil sector since they are products that are closely linked to the earth and Kraft paper, due to its color, texture, and natural finish, reinforces the image of an artisan product and of course ecological. More and more wineries and oil mills are using Kraft paper to make their containers and packing boxes and, as it can be printed perfectly, the brand image is visually very powerful.
