PACKAGING ERGONOMICS

Packaging design plays a key role in today's market, since it will largely depend on whether or not the customer feels comfortable with them.
An ergonomic container must play with graphic design and its perceptual dimension so that it is attractive, striking and understandable, but more importantly, its functionality and ease of use while in the hands of the user, ensuring that it is safe, comfortable and practical for the consumer.
Ergonomics plays a fundamental role in the design and manufacture of containers and packaging because they facilitate the handling and adaptation of the product to the consumer, since they allow it to be transported, manipulated, load it, uncover it and store it safely.
Cognitive ergonomics deals with the way in which the packaging or container communicates with the people, an example is the way the user is told how to open them, how to close them, how to keep them, etc.
  • The packaging must focus on the emotions and needs of the consumer but at the same time be innovative without losing focus between the positioning of the product.

  • They must be environmentally friendly, even the packaging itself must remind the customer of this.

  • They must think about the characteristics of their clients: if they are children they must be flashy, but safe.

The objective of the packaging, in general, must be to provide satisfaction to the user. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on the needs according to the group to which they are directed, since this is the key to making them suitable. Mar 07 2022|Emilia Piedra Donoso.
